L&S Collectables is run by husband and wife team Sam and Louise Thorpe who live in Beccles in Suffolk. Sam had previously been a customer of mine and after dealing with him several times he had expressed an interest the business. I had decided that I couldn’t really run the business properly on my own as there were so many jobs that needed to be done. Rather than take on new staff, which I felt could throw up other problems, I decided to offer part of the business to Sam. He was very keen to take over the manufacturing side of the business and in march 2005 we set up a new workshop in Beccles.
