The Witch chess set Project...back in the summer (2004) I had an idea to make a large chess set for the garden. I wanted something a little different from the norm, so I decided I would start making the pieces and come up with the ideas at the same time. The net result was that the first figure I started on looked a little like a witch so I carried on the theme...

quite rough concentrating on the composition and rough size of the

After showing the sculpture
in progress to a few customers it was suggested that more bats the better. So these were

This Was the first Casting of the Knight piece...we are selling this statue in a Limited edition of 200 pieces. Eventually there will be a base added to make a proper chess piece that will make up a set that will be limited to a very small number (less than 50).
